Until the book "The Guide to Yellowstone Waterfalls and Their Discovery" was written, the Maynard book was the go-to guide for Yellowstone waterfall enthusiasts. It is a small paperback that is printed on glossy stock. The photos are high in quality and don't merely cover the most well known falls of the park. Indeed, there is a measure of devotion to "Cascade Corners", the waterfall rich region in the southwest corner of the park.
The book is ordered by geographical region. There is a brief geological overview of Yellowstone National Park. The falls have decent narrative text. The maps don't translate particularly well to the small pages of this book.
The Bottom Line: Buy "The Guide to Yellowstone Waterfalls and Their Discovery" instead. It's much more thorough and offers a great deal of historical information regarding the park.
