This is one of the earlier guidebooks in the recent wave of waterfall guidebooks. Mark Morrison, a former land surveyor, has displayed the accuracy his field requires. This book is detailed in the extreme. There are dozens of maps throughout this book, and the falls are marked with exacting detail.
The photographs are both in black and white and color. There are several plates on glossy paper in the center of the book. Some of these are very, very nice. While there aren't a great number of photographs, the book is a very good representative of its class when you take into account the time in which it was published. Anyway, the fun is in finding the waterfall, not merely knowing where it is.
The Bottom Line: If you are spending time in the area hunting for waterfalls, it's a good resource to have close at hand.
