This book has a limited amount of raw data, so it's somewhat useful for a dedicated seeker of waterfalls. It has no photographs, but rather pen and ink illustrations. The quality of these illustrations is such that the image of the falls is accurately represented to the reader. However, we're of the opinion, "a picture is worth a thousand words".
This book covers 28 waterfalls. While there are no photographs, each waterfall has an illustration, and a map. In addition, local flora and fauna are also represented in pen and ink format.
This book isn't the sort of book that makes you want to give up your day job and buy a 4x5 view camera, but it is useful if you're in the region and want to visit waterfalls without spending a lot of time going over Ordnance maps looking for tightly grouped contour lines.
The Bottom line: This is a useful, if somewhat lackluster book. If you intend to spend time hiking in the area on a waterfall quest, it'd be good to have.
