Photo of Upper Chinook Creek Falls Gaze across the valley at a pretty and a powerful waterfall descending over the lip of a hanging valley. These falls would deserve a higher rating if closer views were possible. And, as it happens, closer views may be possible by hiking upstream from Chinook Creek Falls for probably no more than .75 mile, then scrambling down to the base of the falls. During the summer, the falls become less impressive.

Photography tips

When shooting from the road, a 300mm lens is almost necessary for a good shot. No idea what to expect from up close. Well lit in the morning hours, pretty much impossible to see in the late afternoon due to shadows.
