HISTORY AND NAMES

Our thoughts
Madden Falls isn't a highly regarded waterfall because its not prominently visible despite parts of the falls being easy to see from across the valley, which is a shame because it is a very tall waterfall and even the single 500 foot drop is worthy of note. If a trail were to be established to the bottom of the various lower sections of the falls, we have to imagine it'd be an immensely popular destination.
Location and directions
Madden Falls can be easily seen from the Squamish Valley Road, about 20 kilometers north of Squamish, just before the pavement ends, or from the aforementioned bridge a kilometer further up the main road.

Photography tips
Madden Falls is only visible from some distance away, so a good telephoto lens is necessary but super long focal lengths aren't needed. The falls face east in the valley and haze in the air will be problematic when photographing the falls in the afternoon hours. Also be aware of dust trailing from vehicles driving down from the unpaved part of the the Squamish Valley Road.
