Kukenaam, Salto
   Bolivar, Venezuela

This waterfall has been confirmed by the World Waterfall Database, has been mapped and its height has been approximated but exact measurements have not yet been confirmed.
Kukenaam Falls is often erroneously cited as being one of the 5 tallest waterfalls on the planet. The falls are located in the eastern part of Venezuela, near the border with Guyana. Dropping off the top of Kukenaam Tepui, the falls appear quite similar to Angel Falls. A Venezuelan National Park document quoted a height figure of 674m in a sheer plunge.
Seasonal Discharge
This waterfall occurs along a stream that is known to vary greatly in volume and as a result may not flow consistently year round or may dry out completely during certain periods.

  • Also Known as: Kukenaam Falls, Cuquenan Falls, Cuquenam Falls, Kuquenam Falls, Matawi
  • Kukenaam, Salto is the Official name of this waterfall

Our thoughts

While the height figure, specifically as it relates to single drop, is staggering, the falls are low volume and flow with vigor only after a rainstorm.
