HISTORY AND NAMES
- Fissure Falls is the Unofficial name of this waterfall
The name of this waterfall is colloquial, suggested by Chris Shaffer in his Definitive Guide book, after the nearby feature called The Fissures - a series of fractures in the outcrop which forms Taft Point that run several hundred feet straight down into the alcove between Profile Cliff and Taft Point.
