UNCONFIRMED
This waterfall is known to exist but its stature and / or location have not yet been verified by the World Waterfall Database.
At 65 feet in height, Dunns Falls is Mississippi's tallest waterfall. The falls are not naturally occuring and were formed in 1850 when Irish Immigrant John Dunn redirected the stream which now feeds the falls in order to power a grist mill. Prior to the redirection the stream came within about 200 feet of the bluffs which form the falls, but flowed in a parallel course to the Chunky River. Because the cliffs which form the waterfall are natural, we don't consider this to be a truly man-made waterfall which would otherwise be cause for exclusion from this database.
