Detailed Information:

This is one of the most famous waterfalls on Reunion Island. The falls drop down the side of the Bras de Caverne River valley in four steps. Initially, we were lead to believe the total drop of the falls was in the range of 400 meters, however, recent evidence points to just the FIRST drop being 400 meters by itself, with the total height easily breaking 600 meters (though we don't know by how much exactly). We've estimated the falls at 2100 feet tall, but there are a few blurbs circling the internet that indicate the falls may actually be in the range of 800 meters. The falls seem to be on a relatively small drainage, but during the wet season, they are quite impressive, and can be quite powerful.
